Current ePetitions

An e-Petition is a petition that is hosted by a website and collects signatures online. This allows petitions and supporting information to be made available to potentially a much wider audience than a traditional paper based petition.

Supporting an e-Petition

To support an existing e-Petition choose an e-Petition and add your name, address and email address.

Submitting an e-Petition

An e-Petition can relate to any issue on which the Council has powers or duties or on which it has shared delivery responsibilities through the Local Area Agreement or other partnership arrangement.

Paper Petition

You may also like to start a paper petition. This works in exactly the same way as an e-Petition except that you must hand the petition into the Council or pass it to your Elected Member to submit on your behalf. Paper petitions should be submitted to:

Head of Legal & Democratic Services, Eastleigh Borough Council, Leigh Road, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 9YN, or pass it to you Elected Member to submit on your behalf.

Petitions relating to Planning Applications

It should be noted that petitions relating to Planning Applications are not included in this scheme and any such petitions should be submitted to the Development Control department.
