That the Administration Committee NOTED the allowances paid in 2022/2023 (Appendix 1).

Approval of Suspension of Councillor Attendance Rules Minutes: The Service Director Governance and Support (Monitoring Officer) presented the report.
RESOLVED –
That the Administration Committee APPROVED a suspension pursuant to Section 85 of the Local Government Act 1972, of the six month Councillor attendance rule for Councillor Buckley. |

Code of Conduct - Annual review 2022/23 Minutes: The Service Director Governance and Support (Monitoring Officer) presented the report.
Councillor Parker-Jones asked whether any further thought had been given to staggering the term of officer for the independent persons used, so that there was an overlap in future.
The Service Director - Governance and Support (Monitoring Officer) confirmed that the terms of office would be considered as part of the preparation for recruitment to the roles next year, noting the benefits of a staggered appointment for continuity.
RESOLVED –
That the Administration Committee:
1. NOTED the report and made any observations to the Monitoring Officer; and 2. NOTED that a review of the Code of Conduct Complaints Procedure had been conducted. |
