It was AGREED -

 

That the Minutes of the meeting of the Panel held on 29 January 2019 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a correct record.

Chairman's Report

Minutes:

The Chair explained the purpose of the Community Safety Review and that the panel needed to carry out this review annually.  The Chair also advised the panel that they needed to be considering strategy as well as performance.

Eastleigh Community Safety Partnership Annual Review pdf icon PDF 4 MB

Minutes:

The Panel considered a report by the Safety and Resilience Manager that reviewed the work of the Eastleigh Community Safety Partnership.  The Panel gave recognition to the success of the Community Safety Partnership.

 

RESOLVED –

 

That the Policy and Performance Scrutiny Panel:

 

(1)  Noted the work undertaken by the Community Safety Partnership over the past twelve months in the Borough; and

(2)  Noted the findings in the annual strategic review and the adoption of the three priorities for the coming period until the end of March 2020.

Minutes:

The Panel considered a report by the Strategic Planning Manager outlining proposals for the Council’s new approach to Strategic Planning and Performance as well as performance against outcomes.

 

RESOLVED –

 

That the Policy and Performance Scrutiny Panel:

 

(1)  Commented on proposals for Strategic Performance as detailed in the report; and

(2)  Agreed to monitor the effects of the construction of a Smart Motorway on the M27 on congestion and air quality in the Borough.

The Panel considered the Forward Plan of Key Decisions.

 

It was AGREED that the report be noted.

12.

Policy and Performance Scrutiny Panel's Work Programme pdf icon PDF 47 KB

Minutes:

Panel members considered their Work Programme to March 2019 and were advised that there was a need to revise the agenda for the March meeting following items coming forward.  It was agreed that the agenda for the March meeting would be as follows:

 

·  Waste Policy

·  Corporate Action Plan

·  Housing and Homelessness Strategy

 

The Streetscene item would be considered at the meeting on 6 June 2019.

 

It was AGREED that the Work Programme be noted.
